“Places to visit”

Zoo De LA Paymyre

This zoo is a great day out about a 45 minutes drive from the Chateau here are some of our pictures from our visit.

Happy Giraffe
Smiling Zebra

Puy Du Fou

We visited this Historical show park,

Well what an amazing, breathtaking, amusing, incredibly dramatic and perfectly choreographed, 2000 years of French history.

Our favourite show was the The Phantom Bird’s Dance, which including falcons, eagles, owls and vultures, we were blown away watching the birds dance just above our heads, and the love that they have for these bird of prey is absolutely remarkable, which made the experience even better.

It’s only two and half hours away from the Chateau in Le mung, and definitely something you should visit while in the southwest of France.

“Closer to the Chateau”

One of our favorite things to do on a saturday morning is to visit the local markets. There is one in Saint-Savinien (5 minutes drive) or Saintes (25 minutes drive) the fresh produce is delicious, especially the fish, olives and the baguette.

Local Seafood
Jams, Pickles and Breads

The Wine Festival in August in Saint-Savinien, or a hour and half drive to Bordeaux are great places to visit!
